I have been involved with player pianos since late 1970 when I purchased my first player.
After successfully restoring my 1925 Hampton made by Story & Clark, I was asked by
 a friend to look at his player.  This led to a part time business of player and later reproducing
 piano restoration while I taught high school Industrial Education.  In 1981 I left teaching
 to become a full time restorer.  I primarily restore reproducing player pianos, but I have
 done other types of automatic music machines.  When a restoration includes complete
 restoration of the piano, James Reeder Pianos of Lansing Michigan does the
